Leila, my sister-in-law is lucky enough to live in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby. Jonathan and I decided to make the most of a sunny day to drive down to visit her and our gorgeous two year old nephew Ossian.
We started our visit with a trip to a little cafe called ‘Candy’, I’ll be honest, the food and the service left something to be desired, but the view! We sat by a huge window and looked down over the water, my nephew was very excited to see all the boats bobbing by below. The most incredible thing happened, right outside our window a kestrel swooped by and began to hover in front of us whilst it stalked something below. I just wish I had a better lens on my camera because it was a beautiful sight to see.
This is St. Catherine’s Fort which sits on St. Catherine’s Island, it was design by Colonel William Jervois and construction began in 1867. Of course it’s initial use was military but it 1968 the fort was turned into a zoo! It has stood empty since 1979.
All in all we had a fantastic day, the weather was perfect, we enjoyed cake and ice cream by the beach and Ossian was as always his amazing and hilarious self.
